insurance renewal time, quoted £506 from Norwich Union so thought I'd shop around.

On advice from this forum I thought I'd best declare a non-standard (sports) exhaust. Fitted last year because I needed a new one and it was £700+ cheaper than a porsche approved standard one. Louder. But probably nil difference to bhp. anyway...

plugged the changes into confused.com from last years quote - got 2 (!!!) insurers only who were willing to quote because of "modifications". last year they got me 20 quotes.

Not bothered - A-Plan came in £70 cheaper than my renewal, taking into account the non-standard exhaust. still, i was a tad surprised.

Interestingly tesco quoted £388 but there was no facility for getting class 1 business use so i let it pass
