Just watching practice for the Australian round at Eastern Creek.

As a person born in Australia, watching the Australian round, I ought to support Australia. As Ive made England my home and in the interests of integration, I ought to support GB.
But much to my delight, Ive just discovered that the Driver for Singapore is Christian Murchison, who is a West Aussie, a top bloke and has given me personal tuition around Barbagallo Raceway in a Formula Ford! Quite pleased with my very tenuous link to the series actually and stoked for Christian.

Looks like I have 3 teams to root for this season, hope its a good one.

I'm half Irish, was born in England but brought up, as many were after the war, as British first. For the six nations I'll support England whenever they are playing, Ireland when they are not, then Sctoland and Wales against the French or Italians. When Scotland plays Wales I go for the Welsh as I like lost causes.

I'm more Irish when watching football. I support Arsenal and hope they win but enjoy it tremendously when Lehmann lets one in or makes an idiot of himself.

Pete I have also watched Christian race at Wanneroo, (I have also been an instructor at many WASCC driving schools). How does he qualify to race fro Singapore? Was he born there?

Divided loyalties are not unusual. Yesterday I found myself cheering everytime Jonny Wilkinson or Robinson scored for England. With my surname, you might expect some support for Scotland (I'm Irish) but Wilkinson's comeback was so poetic and triumphant that you just had to admire the guy.

I'll still support Ireland when they play England in a few weeks though.

I love England, I live in England and I married an English Rose. England is a truly wonderful country and its people are second to none. I love it as a Foreigner does though - its my adopted homeland not the country of my birth.

But when the Six Nations is on I'm afraid its "Cymru am byth" (Wales For Ever!), "Sospan fawr" etc. I even get my Welsh accent back (no-one can tell I'm not English usually) when voicing my support.

On the other hand so long as England aren't playing Wales I support the English team - certainly when they play Scotland - even though I'm half Scots and dearly love the place.
