Perhaps with the new found popularity of PH following the Haymarket deal it might be appropriate to have an F1 sub-forum?

Then those of us who aren't really interested can have our General Motorsport forum back again

Please Ted?

The same could be said for alms, fia gt and btcc. But if you did that there would be very little general motorsport discusion.

There's a BGT forum and a Britcar forum though? There is very little Alms discussion and very little BTCC discussion.

I'm sure the F1 stuff will die down it always peaks around now, but I'm guessing that the "Autosport effect" will bring in a lot more people who are interested in F1 and they might like to have their own forum to play in? I'm not sure I remember virtually the entire first page ever being F1 related?
