What is the best stuff to use for between-services oil and filter changes?

got to be the synthetic stuff from Castrol, that is what BMW recommends and what is used in the new mini's. I'm sure a quick call to mini BMW will confirm the oil spec- the viscosity, that is.

It was always castrol SLX fully synthetic 0-30w, some of the tuners for played with cars recomend 5-30w
