Not too sure about this as if it does go ahead it means they'll be racing under a load of flood lights which defeats the point of the object for me - I prefer Le Mans style night racing with the cars racing through the pitch black although I doubt the drivers and TV co's/advertisers will be too enthusiatic about it

any one else?

I think it'll be fantastic. The only problem being that it'll only happen in the middle eastern circuits.

Bring on a Silverstone night race. Every race I've been to there in the dark has been epic!

I'm not convinced. Maybe once or twice but don't want to see a season where all the 'flyaway' races are night races. I can just as easily set the video if the race is at 3am

I've heard a Singapore race being mooted. That would be great - I love Singapore and would happily fly there for a holiday that spanned the GP.

I think Bernie is being realistic in a way - the Eastern and Asian countries are all clamouring for a GP but he's worried about the fact that there are a LOT of fans in Western Europe. Staging the AsiaPac races at night means that he can get the races live onto the screens of his target advertisees (sorry, fans).

Can't really see the point of watching a TV screen of a race that takes place in the dark?!?
If it is all floodlit then it might as well be a day race.
If they fit all the F1 cars with big rally pods then and made them go flat out in the pitch black then it would be very different and interesting purely out of curiosity... but as a spectator on the other side of the TV screen it would be boring looking at all the black patches on my telly.

I know it so that the races can reach the European market during the mid-day hours but F1 has now become such a global thing that we have to expect some of the races to not suit our prime time TV slots.

Wish it would move back to BBC anyhow.... I always turn off when they show the first adverts. Always have done and will continue to do so. ITV make the races so fooking annoying that I gave up on the first race that ITV televised.

Personally I really hope that there wont be any night races. Just seems like a stupid gimmick to me.
