Hi guys,

Bit of a panic here, my usual rr guy, Pete Baldwin is fully booked for the next 3 weeks and my race in on the 20/21 of april. Does anyone know of any rr around cambs/herts area that are competant with weber carbs and would recommend?

Not cambridge way but I use a guy called Dave Young at Mech Motorsport in Cheltenham, bit of a trek but getting carbs right is worth travelling for, he set up my triple 45's on my old BMW and does all the mapping on my and a few other race cars, very very good www.mechmotorsport.co.uk

Not sure whether Dave Walker at Emerald would be up for it?

There is a small company in Stotfold, Herts, called "Techniques" who specialise in racing and maintaining Morgans (as well as other makes)

They know a lot about carbed motors.

I've used Peter Baldwin but more recently there is an outfit up near Great Gransden. Let me know if you need the details and I'll dig them out. They helped set up the webber 45 on my car

That's who I was thinking of. They build good MGB engines and I think also triumph.

I've used them a couple of times. I've been reasonably impressed so far - enough that the TVR is there at the moment for a major upgrade.
