Group 2 arches

Hi,

does anyone know where I can get some group 2's with holes that line up with the pre drilled holes from the normal arch extensions? Don't fancy drilling anymore holes than strictly necessary!

Don't think you can get this. What I do it to plug the existing holes with countersunk rivets to stop any rusting and re-drill at the right places for the new arches. Then I use 4 mm rivnuts with stainless steel socket head cap screws and st. steel washers to fix the new arches. Wayoyl under the arches after painting and fitting. I usually paint the Gp 2 arches in bodycolour as I don't like them black.
The Gp 2 arches do look fabulous though, so long as the chrome trim strip goes on OK.
I saw a Mini resto prog on one of the satellite channels which showed them warming the chrome trim with hot water to make it easier to apply. However, that's not the best way. It's best to use a hairdryer to warm the strips locally, especially where you get a 'double curve' at the junction of the arch to the body. Make sure that the flanges line up nicely before applying the trim strips and file the flange of the arches to thin them locally a bit if necessary. Splitting the trim strips is just so easy.It's worth taking a lot of care as the finished result is great and much better than any other sort of wheel arch.

I think Huddersfield mini spares have the one's your thinking of, although i think i'd rather fit ones that are better coppies?!?!?!
