The first was a TVR Sagaris, possibly Spectraflair Black or similar, in the Saffron Walden Tesco carpark. Reg **55 EYY (I think).
The second was a Cobra. It was a dark colour, either blue or black or green. I can't really remember, as I only saw it for a splitsecond. It was going into Saffron Walden past the county high coming from Audley End.
Must be PHers, surely!

the Saggy sounds very nice from your description (was the colour solid black with multi coloured met flecks in it by any chance? sounds a bit like Nebula black to me!)
Cobra sounds nice too!
i saw a few Tivs today and a few nice exotics too! (check out the supercar spotters post!)
