Just looking at the dates for the DTM in June, runs from 8th to the 10th, so i'm guessing there is practice seesions on the Friday.

Does anyone know if Friday is a public day, as I can't find any info on tickets, only tickets for the weekend are available.

I really just want to go for photographic purposes, so not too bothered with the race.

Any info would be appreciated!

If I remember correctly last year, Friday was free to get in. Although I bought a weekend ticket which included Friday.

I went on the friday last year, I don't think it was free but it wasn't much, 5 or ten quid. it was free to park inside the circuit and there weren't many people there so great opportunity to get photos. I've already booked the day of work to go again this year.

I went on Friday last year, and I got in free, it was a fantastic day, you got to go anywhere you wanted, I ended up in the pit area.

Thats great, so I can just turn up, no need to pre-book anything.

I will look forward to it then.

just checked the msv website and they are quoting a tenner for Friday, still good value IMHO. There's also a statement regarding restricted access to the support paddock to those holding pit and paddock passes not sure if that includes the friday as it certainly wasn't busy on the friday last year.

Yeah I thought that might happen. Last year was the first time for the DTM in the UK and it really was a free for all on the Friday, but there where not that many people there, and it made for a fantastic day. It is a shame it cannot be like that this year too, let face it, most people will be at work on Friday, or that might be, ring-up sick and be at brands, no home.
