Hi everyone, i'm new to this forum, having just ordered a new Cooper S!! Can't wait for it to arrive (i don't even have a definite delivery date yet)!!

I wondered if anyone could suggest insurance companies to try. I've rung around a few places, and the cheapest i can get it for is £700 p.a.; thats with full no-claims, 27 year-old, garaged, one claim last year, and one SP30 in 2003. So far i've rung Noel Dazeley, A Plan, Mini insurance, and Adrian Flux, but i'm running out of ideas now!

£700 doesn't seem too bad, but if i can save more money by ringing round, i don't mind trying.

Any help or suggestions would be apprecaited!

Mine is with equity red star. 390 quid fully comp, 38, parked on the drive, no convictions. That us on the new R56 cooper. Got that through a broker so give any one of them a try...

Thanks twit, is equity red star a broker, or the actual insurer? If its the insurer, which broker did you go through please?

Have you tried out www.confused.com ?

I got my cheapest quote on a 328i through there so it's worth a try seeing as you can do it from your computer with no phone calls etc

Hi, my insurance is due for renewal in a fortnight. I have 6 years no claims and one accident 2 years ago. Renewal came through with Privilege - £326, no one else can come close.

Has anyone tried Mini Cover for Insurance? You need to ensure that in the event of an accident that any repairs are carried out by specialist Mini repair centres. There resonably priced too!

Hi all, thanks for replies! I'ce carried on ringing around, and i've found one ever so slightly cheaper than AF, but not by much.

re. the South Coast mini club discount, how do you become eligibly for this discount? I don't live anywhere near the South Coast so wouldn't see any benefit for joining! Or am i being a bit thick?!?!?!?
