Anyone got or seen any performance stats for this car?

I know the claimed 0-60mph time is 6.5secs which I'll take with a large pinch of salt.

Anyone know any real times in a test situation? Also, what about 0-100mph?

In terms of straight line performance what do you reckon this car would be on a par with??

I have driven 2 and can say that it certainly feels like a 6.5 second car.

I can not point you in the direction of any websites but I am sure 10 minutes with google and you should be able to get some answers.

A Ford Focus RS, with it's 212 bhp and 1230 kgs, does it in 6.3 seconds.

Why would a car weighing only 1090 kgs and with more power not do it in 6.5?

I have a GP and they are very quick, but more importantly, the engine pulls from just over idle. Excellent engine in a fabulous car.

I meant to add, that this car is just about the same as a local VW Golf R32.

There's very little in it either way, as there isn't against a guy with a Lancer Evo 260 near me. The Mini certainly surprised the Evo pilot the first time we met!

I imagine that the only limiting factor on the acceleration of the Works GP will be being able to put the power down through the front wheels. Power to weight is comparable to my Z4, so I'd expect 0-62.5 in the low sixes.

It has to be said that Mini are going to find it hard to top the Works GP with the Mk2. Sure you can get a lot of headline power out of a turbo unit, but it won't be anywhere near as cool or as linear as 130bhp per litre from a supercharged 1.6!

Are the quoted figures really that low? My local quoted a 6.9 time to 60?

Normal Scooby 2.5 isn't as quick as the Mini GP. The STi would shade it, yep.

autocar figured a loaded 210Works car at 6.2 AFAIR, so GP should be even better, these things are sooooo fast

They are not manicly fast, but are good at covering the ground all the same. Not having to slow down for corners, hardly and low 2wd drivetrain losses make up for something like the Audi S3's power advantage.
