Try The Four Seasons near to Circular Quay if you want a treat.

Have a look at www.wotif.com.au  to get an idea of what's around and the facilities they have. Wotif show discount rates but only for up to four weeks in advance, so you'd have to do your own searching for prices. But as a way of finding out about hotels, its a pretty handy reference.

Plenty of the usual internation brands around.

I'd say anything that is close to Circular Quay, The Rocks or Hyde Park would be good. Darling Harbour is OK, but a bit tacky, and anything that reckons 'close to Central Station' is a main selling point might be a bit iffy.

The Flights are book but stil not really looked at Hotels Much 2/3/4/5/6/November for me.

Anyone know where I can hire an Audi for a couple of weeks in Oct?
The sites I've been looking at are a real hassle to trail through.

Although it was the honeymoon we didn't stay in the suite, actually I think that was the view from the swimming pool?

I'll be there in Nov 3rd to the 5th bounce

Managed an A6 through 'Budget' a few years back - not too sure if they have any on fleet at the moment though.

The Marriot @ Circular Quay is nice, but I'd like to stay at the Hyatt on the Rocks next time- hopefully coming out for the Grand Prix again in 2008 biggrin

Lensey, I took your advice, although I didn't remember where I'd heard about the intercontinental from until spotted this thread again. I only booked it once I was across and must've been there the same time as yourself (2nd - 8th Nov). Excellent recomendation.

Thanks

Brilliant!! I was there on the 4th - 6th, glad you enjoyed it, I always enjoy it there, the Shangri-La was better but then it should be, it was a lot more cash thats why we only stayed a night on the way back.

Did you climb the bridge?

Yes it was pretty good. the weather wasn't that great but it didn't rain when I was up! I hadn't booked it until I was there and I think I might have landed lucky as it was Melbourne Cup Day.

We went to Melbourne after Sydney and it was packed with people all going to the cup.
