Exhaust difference from hatc to convertible on an S

Title says it all really. I have a quad exit on my 03 S hatch and will be changing to a convertible S in the very near future. I was going to swap the exhaust on to the new car but have been told they are different. Something about a strengthening bar underneath the convertible. Anyone have a clue what the difference is on the exhaust? Is it just bent differently? Are there different aftermarket systems for hatches and convertibles? Please help before I get the car otherwise I might be wasting my time swapping the old system onto the hatch before I sell it.
