Mini Satnav Compatible with BMW Satnav disks?

We are picking up my wife's new car a 54 reg Cooper S from the local dealer on Wednesday, it is fitted with Mini Satnav, it looks very similar to the navigation I have fitted to my M3 which has DVD based Nav and which is running a more modern mapping disk than the Mini, do the units use compatible software to allow me to use the more up to date disk from the M3 in the Mini?

I have asked the dealer this question and they don't know the answer.
