So what's that big mean vent up-front for now? keeping the picnic basket cool?

Yeah dunno oversized radiator - gotta put it somewhere right! or a massive air intake funnelled through the middle of car to the engine?? Or purely just for looks. ??

I guess the egg-crate is for keeping the eggs in on the way home, because you can't put them in the back anymore without hard-boiling them.

Thats where Nissan, in their infinite wisdom, mounted the air-to-air intercooler (interwarmer!) on the GTi-Rs. For some reason its more of a problem on the transverse mounted SR20DET than on the EJ20 in WRXs/Legacies.

One of the best power-making mods for that particular car is to install a decent front-mount intercooler. The enhanced cooling more than makes up for the boost loss from extra piping. Or you could throw in a Ferrari V8 I guess...
