Taupo Trackday in January 2008

Track Day Details

George and I are already booked. Any chance of a Londa/Gee Honda, Esprit, Fraser, or Saker . . . ?!?

I was going to suggest one for your Westie. I got a great deal on it and it has heaps of information it can display. There are other options like the Stack dash or the Motec plus a couple of others not worth mentioning. I like the rev counter of the Stack but the readout looks like a Commodore 64.

When are you going to christen that newly adorned helmet of yours. Or is it being retired to a gallery with another taking it's place for track-use smile

George I thought we did one together when you first got your car through the Club track day at Puke?? 2 yrs ago......gosh that long? Bad me...

The helmet is an incentive to get me back on there. I however wont be using it in BBeauty frown I have to replace a rear disk, get her inspected and then sell her. Best I do it now than break something before she goes. I DO have my heart on a V8 and finances have a light at the end of the tunnel early next yr. SO.... if theres one available for sale around then worth buying she will indeed be introduced to the track for the occasional blat to stretch her legs - be rude not to right. wink
I have already begged to Greenlane Exotics to put the yellow Esprit out the back on HOLD!!! hehe

I think the only one you've been to since I had my Lotus I had to miss out because I had other commitments smile

And yeah, when you've got a V8 that'll be great, especially at Pukie where you can use the extra horsepower.... we'll be doing Hampton Downs by early '08 though, so that'll be awesome smile

I had a LOT of fun chasing around the Titanium EspritV8 at Pukie... he nailed me in a straight line and I hauled him back in over the hill and under brakes... was a great photo floating around somewhere smile

From the talk I've heard of late in the car sale industry I'm surprised they're not offering it now with a deposit and deferred payment option for early next year. When I was in Team a few weeks ago there was no end to the options they could come up with to try and make a sale. Things are a wee bit tight out there evidently.

Funny you should say that, I was talking to a collegue this arvo and her husband is the Sales Manager for Giltrap Toyota - Grey Lynn. He is really struggling to make ends meet. Because sales are down Toyota arent supplying NZ with enough cars. So when an order is placed for a specced colour car etc, they will only send out ONE banghead Its really bad out there at the moment. When I get a bit cash in hand I certainly will be marching over there with a proposal if I could make some delayed repayments. A few months wont be noticed if the cars already been on the lot for 2 yrs.
