Hi chaps. I've just got myself a 94 2.0i Prelude which had previously taken a head-on knock and bodged back to former glory by a former owner.
Now wanting to do the job properly and searching for replacement bumpers, I've stumbled across the issue of whether a bumper from a BB1, BB2, BB3 or any other BB number for that matter will fit?
What the hell do these numbers mean?!!!
Any help will be much appreciated
Oh! and I've only just registered on here too, as a good chum of mine told me you guys were the bees knees when it came to knowing anything and everything about anything that rolls around in rubber
.... Tho I'm sure this is hardly a taxing question.... I'm just lazy

BB is the chassis code.
look at your Vin plate and the chassis code should start with BB?????
with the next number denoting a particular model.

im not well up on Ludes but i beleive any BB1 2, 3 or 4 bumper will fit, that is basically any 92-96 Lude.

again as not being very familiar with ludes, its possible the differing models of the same generation had slight differences perhaps foglight holes or grille shape, but i'd be highly surprised if they weren't inter-changeable.
hopefully a lude geek can confirm it better.

For those of you with a JDM 4th gen. An ideal solution to rid yourself of the nasty looking afterthought fog light is to purchase a high intensity brake light (long and thin ones) and mount it in the recess on the rear bumper. Run the wires from the nasty foglight to the new light and hey presto. Stealthy new fog light.

... Makes me want to get a Jap bumper just to do that! 
As stated just to add my 2 pence worth, all 4th Gen fron bumpers will fit, from the BB1-BB4 and BA8 there was no difference to them from 1991-1995. The only difference would be the reinforcement bar which was different for each different countries crash test requirements. The covers fit over all these variants. I had an AUDM reinforcement but had to swap it out when I put a Mugen front bumper on my car. As for the rear light foggy, have you considered sacrificing a reverse light and putting a high output globe in there, saves having a striplight or some other bodgy looking light like the horrid UKDM ones.
