Mini desperately needed!!

There must be someone outhere who has an unfunished Mini project that they can point in my direction. Needs to be under £1000 and not a complete basket case!! It is for a very enthusiastic 16 year old who is itching to get his hands on a car that he can get ready for when he's 17. Come on, look in your garages and sheds and help me out!!
If you can go to bang on £1000, then I have one available. It doesn't really need a lot doing to it, just a few bits for MOT including some minor welding on the driver's floor (really tiny hole) and a few other bits and bobs. It's been stood for a while so will need some basic recommissioning.
It's on a D plate, originally a City I think but it has an MG Metro engine, 13x7 Superlights, FIA bucket seats & harnesses and some alloy bits and bobs.
Let me know if you're interested - it would of course have to be towed away as no MOT or tax.
Oh and Spax and HiLos. And a nice Lucas reversing light and a Mountney steering wheel on an alloy boss. It's actually quite nice, I just haven't got time to get it going again and would rather it went to a good home!
