Buy it cheap, sell it cheap. Get it checked out first and it could be an absolute bargain.
I have a CatD and it is brill, no regrets. You must just be realistic when selling tho. Based on my experience, about 20% below normal value. Cat D is a very fixable commercial right off. So regardless of the damage done, as long as the chassis is in good nick, the rest is replaceable.

only 11k miles compared to a lot of the higher mileage ones availiable, I was only looking at either a 2.5 or a GTO-3.
guess as my spec'C' has only done 2k the last year the mileage shouldn't be a problem.
It was only a Question to see who would.. I very much doubt her indoors would ever let me buy a bent one..

A car with to little milage can sometimes have more wrong with it. Higher milage cars tend to have most of the issues sorted.

I wouldnt touch the motor unless its been autoligned, there's plenty of these cut n shuts out on the road claim they were light damage, and just bodgered up. give a few months teh fibregalss will start breaking/ cracking.
autolign test costs a measly £250 no seller would hesitate to get it throu if he's confident the repairers 100%.
check dhales, plenty of catd cars on there with so called light damage as well as universal who seem to put every damaged car of any value on a catd because they know people would pay more due to the current lingo of all catd's being light damage

The message is clear; mega problems selling it on.
Ergo, only pay a price for it that reflects this.
Personaly I think a thing that is as fast as the most fast things that may have had a bend or two repaired to the pre-bend spec is as good as it once was.
My car's been bent many a time and repaired and I'm still happy enough to race in it again. So why not a road going car? The question is standards. If its been repaired well enough its as good as new.
The issue with cat "D" is as much to do with subjectives as cup "A" or "G".
Its unfortunate and unfair but c'est La vie.

That one is mine, and looks like its off to a Stealers for much less than the 28k (although i am sure he will push it out for 30K+). Nobody liked the sound of my car after i mentioned a rebuild and non dealer stamps. Again, just like a cat D it makes it undesirable. ce la vie. A Stealer get a bargain, i learn a new lesson in life, the Car goes to a new home at top book.It has a few more miles on it but like someone mentioned in previous mails, it has probably had any the problems ironed out.
