has anyone ever changed the diff front oil seal without dropping the diff ,as i have a leak coming from the nose end of my chims diff ,looking at the paperwork its been leaking for about two years now but i think ill do it as its a sod to keep topping up, and before anybody says take it to a dealer ,forget it , its a 94 4.0 with 60k any info will be a help thanks...
Not sure what pre-load setting is involved with changing a pinion oil seal but never done a TVR? Other than doing the pinion nut up to the right torque I cannot see what else there could be to do. Getting the flange off can be a bit of a sod sometimes, not sure about in situ bit.
Must be a good time to drop in that old transmission joke, must be a matter of a pinion
