After it rains the hazards and inetrior light switch on for no reason on my 02 A4. I have to disconnect the battery to reset the fault. There's a circuit somewhere that's getting damp -any ideas out there??

If you remove the battery, there are some drainage holes that get blocked up with leaves etc, causing water to drain through the pollen filter. This then drips down the chassis to where (I think it's) the ECU is located.

Replace the connector for the ECU first, then if needed go see a specialist for a new ECU. Should just be the plug/socket combo though.

Convenience ECU's under the passenger footwell. Also check the scuttle trim at the lower edge of the windscreen is securely fitted, as water gets through there aswel. Wouldnt agree on the connector personally, and would suggest the ECU would be faulty.
