obviously it depends on your situation etc, but i would give AON a call (or firebond if you are under 25 as they are a kindof sister company to AON)

for me:
im 21
TPFT
kept on the drive in bristol
10k miles per year
estimated market value of £2000
£100 excess
on a classic policy so they dont need my no claims (even though i have 4 years)

and the quote was:

£395.55

thats £160 cheaper than A-plan were able to do! and i think its actually cheaper than i would have got on my Ka!!!!

so if you are 21 it might not be a bad idea to give them a ring. their number is 0870 444 0556

I'm with A-Plan at the moment (make sure you ring their MX5 number), previously I was with Aon. Also give Adrian Flux a call.

Thanks for these - with A-One at the moment (also insure the father's MR2 turbo) - been good so far on the service front (employ human beings for a start!) - I used to insure my Yank with Adrian Flux and the Eunos, but they did me no favours on price for both so moved away, will probably give Aon a quick try!

SC- thanks for the advice - am a little past 21 now! Other than that I'm pretty much same situation (although I insure fully comp these days - difference in price has shrunk for me).

Have the other car on a classic policy for me - I pay about £180/year for that fully comp! Why does the Mazda have to be so pricey! (over £300!)

I've got my 1992 MX5 on a classic policy. Under £200. Depends if you can live with limited mileage and no NCB...
