new RS4 available?
Discussion
I am thinking of moving from TVR to either an RS4 or a Porsche Turbo. Does anyone know if the RS4's will drop in value as i was also told by the audi dealer in my town that they have stopped making the RS4's and that they do not know when the replacement model is due.
So basically my questions are:-
1) Will the RS4's drop in value or not until the new model is out?
2) Date/Pics and reviews of the replacment model if known?
3) Are there any cars which are still new in dealerships?
Cheers

1) Yes all cars do apart from 250GTOs and Macca F1s! The question is how much and I expect the RS4 to depreciate as slowly as the previous model; they made more B7 than B5s but still a low production run car, the B7 is a far superior car to B5 (got rave reviews vs mixed B5 reviews), the production got cut short so there is still pent up demand out there (like you two), the replacement is years away (say 2010 for RHD).2) Date/Pics and reviews of the replacment model if known?

2) Pics/reviews of new model - are you joking? they have only just launched the B8 and RS cars come at the end of the cycle.
3) doubt it now but plenty of nearly new to choose from

There will not be another new RS4 for some time its always the same at the end of the product life there is a run of RS cars, only one RS model is allowed from the complete range and next up is the RS6 which will be followed by the RS5, there is also talk of a TT but after years of production there is still no TT model.
Rumour has it the next RS4 may even be a Diesel after the Le Mans sucess.
Love mine but it does have a bit of a drink problem, but the sound and the performance....wow.

Also if you look on autotrader and exchangeandmart there are a couple with only a few hundred miles. Your other option is to call various dealers around the country who may have one in stock but not be listing it publicly. The new rs4 will not be available till 2010/11 at the earliest due to a variety of factors.
The present ones will hold there value exceptionally well due to supply and demand and the image association. Given a choice between an m3 and an rs4 a lot of people will prefer the rs4 due to exclusivity.

The new RS4 won't be out for a while - the next RS is the 6 early next year & they only make one RS model at a time.
Historically true but this may change as per story below:http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default.asp?storyI...
I'd expect to see the next RS4 earlier in the range lifecycle.

Except that it's got the wrong steering wheel and what looks like Piano black trim instead of Carbon Fibre. It's also got Recaro seats which some people don't like.gunner said:
