Glow plug issues...

I have a 2004 diesel A6, which is in the dealer's having some issues with the glow plugs sorted. In brief, the plug broke while in the engine and they have had to take the heads off to re-cover.

The workshop manager has said that Audi have re-designed the plugs now, but has anyone else had any issues with glow plugs on their diesel? Seems an awfully short time for such an issue to arise!

They can be a bit stubbon. If the fitter is not too hamfisted in the removal, they should not snap on a car of this age.

That was my thinking too. I shall have to wait and see what offer Audi come up with!
