Toyota Levin BZ-G (Import)
Discussion
there are a lot of these over here in ireland, is it def the BZG your getting and not the BZR?? if its got a 5speed box its a BZG and if 6speed then its a BZR, BZG should put out bout 160bhp and the blacktop BZR was standard at about 175BHP, what year is it early 90's or 96-00 spec?? very very solid car will run all day and night without any trouble at all. BZR is the one you want though as the BZG is a bit sluggish. as long as you keep it serviced every 5000miles or so and keep an eye on the oil you should have no trouble with it at all, hit me back with any questions
Toyota said that these engines 165/175 bhp but you will be disappointed if you ever get it on a dyno. more like 145 / 155 in real life. I've got the supercharged 16 valve version which was suppose to make 165 stock but was more like 155 and that was with a big crankshaft pulley and some other mods. Only when I swapped out the OEM ECU and put in a MOTeC did I get better figures.
