Hahahaha, wrong!! Yes, SR20 DETs can be taken to the silly side of 400bhp easier, but to get to 300 it makes no difference what engine you have.

As above, T28 from S14/S14a is a good start. Expect to pay £150sh for a good one.

Make sure you get an exhaust from the turbo elbow back, as alot of systems are cat back, and with your 1991 you wont need a cat (I didn't have a cat on my 1994 and it passed the MOT fine)

Front mount IC. Either Saab 900T or Volvo 740/90T is the budget option (£30-£60 from breaker) or Apex's own ones are good. I had an Autobahn 88 on my last S13, and it was immense biggrin

Induction. Apex'i (not Apex) are about the best available, although mine had an ARC induction box  Mega expensive, but sounds awesome.

Do not adjust/raise the boost without a boost guage and a Walbro fuel pump.

Then off to Horsham Developments for an ECU chip. Go straight for St2 with the mods mentioned.

Dont use more than 1bar of boost and you wont need to change injectors or AFM

My S13 had T28, Autobahn88 FMIC, Mongoose exhaust, ARC inducton box, walbro fule pump and HD st 2 chip, and at 0.8bar made 260bhp at flywheel. I could have run 1.0bar for about 280bhp, but left it at 0.8

The CA18DET is fine if it has been looked after (or rebuilt) and you keep looking after it. People slate them and say they are only useful as anchors for yachts, but let them as it means if you ever need a replacement its cheap. My old S13 hard a very, very hard life as my daily driver and drift car, and it gave me no problems at all.

As for diff, I went for a welded one, bt at 1991 your car may have a VLSD already, as its right on the change over of facelifts

or better link is www.sxoc.com/vbb.index.php as it will save you having to load the main page of SXOC which takes for ever if you're on a crappy connection like mine wink
