Is it open to interlopers from Dorset as well ? If I can stretch to Surrey Runs, I'm sure I can pop down to Devon - Cornwall might be a bit far though.

I'm busy most August weekends (See Somerset Saunter Won for 10th Aug) and Le Surrey Run is on W/E 6th Sep - after that I'm up for a blast.

Perhaps one evening before the weather gets too bad or a Sunday afternoon etc?

Corin,
don't want to hijack your threat, but here's an idea.

i was going to suggest the double locks, in exeter, just off the marsh barton trading estate. nice pub, canal, decent food, free camping if you want it. they do a barbi as well.
those with low ground clearance ( my chim's ok ) may struggle a bit, is the only issue. the entrance is...... interesting.
an evening in the week ( when it would be more quiet ), or a friday night perhaps ( if you fancy getting shedded! ), but in that case we would want to be there fairly early.

ok, just an idea,
cheers.

Great idea mate, Double Locks is a great pub, next to the Canal (hence the name) camping as you say and plenty of real ales with bits of twig in it!

pretty tied up for the next few weekends. fancy an evening meet in the week?
i can get there reasonably early, and blag a table, if required.
or does anyone have any other ideas?
