Bit of advice needed guys.
Her indoors has a 2006 RX8 with 13k on the clock, just had serviced at 12k with a clean bill of health, suspect the dealer changed oil and gave a jet wash and thats it but there you go, anyway clutch started slipping and then ultimatly failed at 13k, got in touch with garage reference the warranty situation and they advised me to get in touch with Mazda direct, suffice to say the 3yr warranty only covers the clutch for 9k according to the tape recording sounding customer care person, (i am sure they are trained in the art of how to irritate the customer!!)
going forward the clutch has cost me £730!! and not even a gesture of goodwill from the jobsworths at Mazda, diabolical and the worst car i have ever owned simple as that.

Check the RX8 Owners Club forum and find the name of the chap in charge of Mazda UK. Sorry I can't remember his name, but you'll certainly find it mentioned many times on the thread about oil cooler pipes. A word with him about it might generate a goodwill gesture.

Cheers mate.
Don't you have to be a member of the club to get on this?

Parts of the forum are open to the public, other parts restricted to members.

Mazda UK's Customer Assistance Manager is Chris Twine. Give them him a call and see what he says.

On a side not, that's the first time I've checked back on the RX8 OC forum in a while and spotted that Mazda UK have a technical bulletin sent out to all dealers about replacing the oil cooler pipes and wheel arch liners free of charge based on the complaints from club members about corrosion. I haven't heard anything from Mazda - will be making a call in the morning!
