Ipod connection
Discussion
Hello all,
I'm new to the Alfa forum having just bought a used GT 1.9 JTD from Perrys. Love the car. I've found that it's been fitted with a Alfa Ipod kit which is great as I have one, but I can't get the bloody thing to work! every time I connect the pod (nano) it says 'OK to disconnect'. The source button can't find the ipod.
Any experience with this?
Cheers,
Richard.

Sorry if I'm slightly hijacking this thread, but - according to the new car listings in some mags - a new 147 is "iPod compatible" as standard.
I've searched high and low for the input jack; nothing. Also nothing in the owners manual.
Are Alfa being typically, obtusely, Italian and they've located the input jack in the sump? Or are the mags lying?

Hello
We sell loads of GT’s, we did sell the I-Pod connecters but we had so many problems with compatibility that we stopped offering the option, Nanos did not work along with other newer I-Pods.
As for second post “according to the new car listings in some mags” you have been reading Top Gear and they print what Alfa UK with out checking it. Alfa’s are not I-Pod compatible as standard.

Many thanks. In fact I worked it out in the end. You need to turn the stereo off all together, then plug in the ipod, then turn the stereo back on again. It's not brilliant but it does work.We sell loads of GT’s, we did sell the I-Pod connecters but we had so many problems with compatibility that we stopped offering the option, Nanos did not work along with other newer I-Pods.
