Hi, trying to get all my bits! in order prior to starting the build in 12 / 14 weeks time.
Can anyone point me in the direction of a supplier of Sikafix? also according to the tech pages on the web there are various types which should I go for?
thanks
David

Car Builder Solutions. . . . . www.nfauto.co.uk
they will have most of the consumables you will need.
It's Polyurethane Adhesive/sealant

Just go to your local Motor Factors and ask for PU Sealant. Any make will do the job.
The one my local stocks is German I believe and sets off with a very high gloss.
Will look for the make when I get home.

Don't buy too much at once as it goes off. Good makes have a desicator pack or granules sealed in the end of the tube.

Morning Brian,

Yep still here, car tucked away till spring. Spending the winter gutting and refitting the house. Almost there now, so time to start on the garden, feel free to pop over with a spade wink

Hi Simon. Busy man!. Rumour has it I have a garden as well. Not sure as not looked in recent times. I think the roaming wilderbeasts are the clue. Priority is to get rebuilt car back on road for the spring.

Singapore and Australia compared to a Winter in a drafty garage with spanners. No contest. Just wait until the beast emerges in the Spring

Hi Graham

Heater Out, new plate ready to fix to original holes of heater plate. Pipes about ready, have sorted out how to run down sides. Condensor just about fitted to engine bay. I have been getting all the bits finally fitted so once I do final fix everything goes in right order. Delay due to insulation of bulkhead which meant removal of all pipework etc. New brake cable fitted, and conduit fitted in side pod which now carries all wiring. All part of general tidy up. Should have finished in time for engine re-install next month.
