So its insurance renewal time and, although they've never been of use real use in the past, I decided to include A Plan in my quotes list...

A Plan has just told me they do not insure Nobles!

However, they did "assist" me by passing my call to "Call Connections" a call center company with whom they have an alliance. Apparently, the way it works is that Call Connections asks you the long list of questions and then passes your call onto a broker for the quote and, as they share the data, the broker won't need to ask you all the questions again. This was bollix as they asked MOST of the questions again and then delivered a poor quote (not their fault). Call Connections then call you back to pass you on to another broker on their list of possibles and so on.

Very cumbersome, anyway, here are some of the questions and comments during the calls...

"Does it have five seats?"
"Does it have two seats?"
"Is it a kit car ?" - expected!
"Is it made in America?" - hmmm, how did they know?!
"What is it?" - I never got to the bottom of that one!
"Is it above 350bhp" - I said "no, unfortunately, it's 325bhp and I have the bloody graph to prove it"!

And the classic...
"Is that a boat"rofl

...draw you own conclusions rolleyes

I got more competitive quotes in 30 minutes on the phone and web yesterday!

Ted, you might like to consider uopdating the A Plan thread above, many thanks.
