An ad on PH for a V8 says:

service call mods carried out
1. Gear box service call
2. PR valve mod
3. Brake shoes mod
4. Fuel injector mod
5. Rear tailgate mod

I know about 1, but what about the other 4?

I'd take a guess on 3 of them:

1.Difficulty in selecting 2nd gear, particularly when cold. This has been carried out on my car and is noticeably better, i.e. smooth

3.Squeaky brakes. I asked for this 'fix' but even after Works had a look it still remains.

5.Some owners were reporting indentations or 'bumps' under the paint on the tailgate (2 areas as I recall) which could be rectified.

No idea about the other 2 issues.

Think you have the following...

1. Gear box service call - improvement of gear selection. Believe it's different oil and an adjustment of the linkage.
2. PR valve mod - oil pressure relief valve. Makes a farting noise when cold without this.
3. Brake shoes mod - not sure what this is. Am assuming it's something to do with the squealing brakes. Using them properly avoids the need for this wink
4. Fuel injector mod - no idea what this is. Not heard of it as a general issue.
5. Rear tailgate mod - stop the boot filling with water when it's rained. Mine was OK at first, but fills the boot reliably now even though the drain holes are clear.

The pads are Pagids, which give tremendous bite and work very well when warm, but if you don't use them aggressively very often they eventually suffer from glazing and squeal like buggers (I have them in my 7 and that can do the same thing too).

Using them heavily should cure it for a bit (works for me). Problem is that it can be a bit anti-social on the road wink Perhaps try a blast down a quiet b-road and use the brakes hard.
