Does anyone have any tips on how to refresh the colour of a grey MFG hood? A friend has just bought one and the roof is looking a little tired. I've heard varied reports about Renovo, but was wondering whether this can be used as it's only available in Black, Blue or Green. Has anyone tried this on the grey roof, or alternativly is a more suitable product available?

Any comments/suggestions would be appreciated!

I'm afraid grey hoods always look tired.

He could try a spray or brush (i prefer spray) on scotchgaurd type product, it seems to freshen them up a bit and makes the water rebead for a year or so, I used to use it on my 911 hood, renovo does work well but I wouldn't use the balck on grey it might dye it or turn it blotchy.

Autoglym also sell a hood cleaning/reproofing kit that can be used on any colour of hood. Its around £20 in Halfords. Have used it to good effect on my green hood several times.
Am tempted to try out Renovo next time, now they have recently released a product for green hoods.

It's very good. Waterproofs it very well too.
