UJ's Question

Right orderd a new upper UJ and went out to change it today but it seems longer than the one on there at the moment. But is the same as the lower UJ.

1 is this the wrong one.
2 If not am i presume that the intermediatte rod will just go in the upper and lower Uj a little more. of course marking them all as said in the Bible.

At the momentthe inter rod is nearly through the Upper Uj and the lower seems to be halfway through.
The new Uj is the same lenght as the old lower uj which is longer than the old upper uj.

The new one is 10mm longer overall lenght.

i think there different sizes top and bottom (well they were on my s) , sounds like you got two bottom ones!

pretty damn fine thanks but the repair work on the front is starting to come through so i gotta get a quote for redoing it or find out who did it the first time and see if its still covered, other than that still bloody love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Right just recieved the upper UJ as returned other But its the same as the one returned

So would anyone mind nipping to the car and measure there upper UJ, The new one i have from thr centre Hinge is 7cm either way, the one on my car now is & cm on way and 6cm the other.

Help Please my Dummie is about to come out and this Dealer is gonna get another earfull.

I hope your right.But after 25K would of thought it was the original(cant know for sure)

After speaking to them on the phone they seem to understand as if they had the two different ones in front of him.
It would fit, Just want to make doublerly sure, dont need another accident with my record

Top on is 80.61mm long,on digital verniers

Bottom one measured at 83.51 but its on the car and at a slight angle because of the fit and it was by eye.

The One they Sent me is 115mm Long and the one i want to replace is 85mm(ish).

Spent last 3hours taking old one off and seeing if longer one would fit........
Would It Firk, so had to put the old one back on and will be calling them AGAIN to see if they can send me the right Bloody one :help:
