I second this...almost... had to research it thoroughly after an argument! slight emphasis on the 'm' though ky-Meer-a. and the last 'a' is like the 'er' in potter.

Anyway, it's all cra* because I call mine Bitch now (or Honey when the g.f. is around!)

Anybody know the correct way to pronounce 'Cerbera' (Gorilla maybe??)

Hey - I like "Chimp" ...

...when I was a kid a "Chim" was a smack in the face.

"If he's not carefull I'll give him a chim in the gob..."

What else is a "Chim"? I mean a "chimp" is a small animal that is generally seen as being playfull and good fun ... seems a fairly good descrption of a Chimera to me (or does calling it a chimp threaten the male macho-ness of your throbbing purple monsters?)

No
"sir-bur-a"

gorilla is fat too masculine for a sleek jobbie like a ker-bur-a / cher-bur-a / sir-beer-a

shit I get phone calls every day pronouncing it some other way!

Like that - but of course I would - gives creedence to my number plate. Why is Trevor shortened to TVR, why, I would think it should be TRV ??
