Hi Guy's

Any experiences with either dealer, it would be for after sales service.

Thanks

Lucky

Steer well clear of Reading.

Personal experience of Reading very good....Brought both a DB9 Volante and V8 Vantage from them. Aftersales is always helpful enough. They arranged the complimentary Gaydon tour, and I also bagged a free day at Silverstone thrashing various Lancaster group exotica.

Had a bad experience though across the forecourt at the Land Rover dealership though.

Can anyone recommend a good dealer near to Essex. I will NOT use Grange Motors as twice I ahve been there over the last year to request a test drive given all my details and never heard from them...so if that is an example of customer service there I will drive further afield.(I would not mind but both times I went i was either in my 550 or my gallardo ..so a switched on sales guy would have noticed I was not a time waster)...ridiculous...

Little further east, I'd suggest HWM Walton. On my third Aston and nothing but praise for Paul (sales) and Jon (service). Completely restored my faith in the dealer network.

Agree completely. In my experience the contrast between them and Reading has been stark: I have never experienced worse customer service than that from Lancaster, or better customer service than that provided by HWM.

Another for HWM.

Ooooh yes on Works Service! laugh

WS are good in that they can come and collect your car, they're very polite and terribly nice people - but boy, do they know how to charge!!

It's great to have the little WS stamp in the service book - and maybe with the V8's and DB9's there's a fixed price for servicing. But I got seriously spanked with the Vanquish - but I kept going back for more! smile

A friend of mine has his DB7 Vantage serviced at WS. He says it is worth every penny. It used to add value to the car when only real enthusiasts would buy the cars but now it doesn't appear to be so necessary.

Have used HWM and Works Service. Both very good with Works Service being top of class.

Top marks (again) for both HWM and Works. The combination is peerless.

Hi Guy's

Put a deposit down on one today but have another question, the car has had a 1500mile service
and is now on 6500miles and will be 1 year old on 01 April. Does it need it's one year service in April
or will it be a year from the date of the 1500mile service?

Thanks Lucky

Good question.

As they do barely anything at 1,500 miles, I would think it's the car's anniversary. Don;t have my book to hand to check though...

Phoned works service and they confirmed it's from registration date not the 1500mile service.

Shouldn't the first service be done at 1000 miles?? I know my 2007 model year Vantage has this in the service schedule...
