Contemplating an LCD TV, but would also like to use the PC's output through the same screen. Now I know these exist, but I'd be interested to hear if anyone has any comments.

Is it better to have one LCD panel for the PC and one for the TV (looking at LCD on space grounds).

Comments / thoughts / advice?

Its the graphics card that should have output for the TV (usualy s-video, my laptop has it) as long as the TV can take s-video and I seriously doubt an LCD TV won't have it then you are up and running. You can plug straight in, tune the tv and away you go.

However IMHO I would always have seperate monitor and tv. As TV resolution is not the same as a monitor. Also I have found that using a tv is more tiring on the eyes than a good quality monitor. The only real use is for large screen demonstrations (hence why my laptop has it for teaching)

Hope that helps.
