i am considering lowering my Cerbera, by say, 15mm max. Reason, well, a fiend of mine has just done so with his new 911 Targa and does make a huge visual impact.
And in my view the std Cerbera is a little high and the wheels house clearances should be tighter.

I have already had some discussion with a specialist who is talking about adjustable struts, does anyone know of a source of shorter springs? - a much cheaper option!

Dont do it that way.
Get new shocks ie Nitrons and get joospeed springs.
Look at Joospeed web site.
Will cost you about 1K all in?

but if you do, watch out for speed bumps and car ferries - I got stuck on both within 2 days of fitting the new suspension.

Having lowered many a TVR, shorter springs or playing with an adjustable base introduces other problems in that it does nothing to control the suspension movement. End result is that the wheel will foul the bodywork which can be very detrimental to your health and wealth. The trick is that stronger springs need to be fitted and the setup adjusted to compensate so that the suspension movement is reduced. This does mean a harsher ride.

Lowered Cerbera !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mine always rubbed on speedhumps around Milton Keynes. These are high ones but still within the legal limit.

Some cerbs seem to ride quite high. The 2002 Cerbs look like they are on stilts.

i agree, i was at a local dealership recently and they really looked too high. I know what you are saying about the ground clearance though. Some manufacturers always seem to get it right, first time, BMW are v,. good.
However, even with 18" spiders on, litle difference in rolling rad. the wheel house clearances, particularly arround the rear look a like they could do with tightening.

Here's a picture of mine (now owned by Gazzab) after it was fitted with adjustable Ohlins. It was a lot lower than standard, but, as Steve said, it had stiffer springs.

I made the mod for handling reasons, it was a side effect that it gave the car a more purposeful stance on the road. I only got stranded on a speed bump once, although the bolts holding on the exhaust protecting plate under the chasis use to take quite a pounding

PS. The stuff laid out in front of the car in the pic is the toolkit that I used to carry round with me "just in case"
