Good evening gentlemen,

If at all possible I would much appreciate it if you would permit me to partake in the fascinating events planned tomorrow eve.

I must apologise in advance though as I may fail with regard to some of your criterion, Oakleys and a baseball cap I do not possess. I could possibly acquire a pair of rather spiffing Block sunshades and a bowler hat though I find that the hat becomes detached when driving alfresco.

Please be so kind as to provide me with the location and time for this event and I will gladly permit you the pleasure of my company.

Yo Bob my man: dat would be wicked of you, innit? We as not yet got no kicking location organised, but Neil and me woz thinkin maybe up on them massive hills like.

You know, one feels that maybe mutilating Her Majesty's English is too much trouble, and perhaps verbosity and verbal dextrosity not such a bad thing after all...! Maybe Olde Englishe would be stretching it a little far though...

Yea, verily unto the highway shall we trespass, replete of purse and burdened with thyrste. Mayhap pursuivant to a fulle day's labour shall we gather, to quaff and let full discourse?

Shakespeare would be rotating in his coffin.

Oh I dunno. 7.30-ish, somewhere? How about Nigel? Are them thar hills too far for you, will you turn into a pumpkin at the 'witching hour?

Mike:
Which hills are you thinking of? I thought you were yon side of Darlington... we were looking at the Yorkshire Moors!

Here's a plan or two.

Meet up at Bay Horse Great Broughton, drive through Helmsley, Hutton-le-Hole, Moosholm and on to drinks at the Water Wheel.

Or

Meet up at Bay Horse Great Broughton, drive through Helmsley, Pickering, A169 to the coast road and on for drinks at Ellerby.

Fort you was talkin bout the big ills in Durrum, my man

Ordinarily, we'd be delighted to head for Helmsley, but we're both working a bit late tonight so it'll just be a local rumble in the dtying rays of the sun (presume the sun's out.... can't even see outside from here)

Where & what time Rich? It's 'A' level results day next Thursday so my eldest Alex (PH wasted youth) may need my attention. I've stayed away from these meetings because you all know each other & I don't want to be goosberry.

OK I know the time and place. Just spotted your post in 'Events'

Bob:
You must've posted about 15 seconds after I checked the thread and decided nobody was playing except me and Neil!
The weather suddenly turned crap over the moors, and Neil and I decided that if we go out as a twosome much more, people will start to talk... so we binned it for tonight: tomorrow (Friday) is still an option if anyone wants to show a leg a little sooner than teatime tomorrow...

Richard: who the hell would want a regional organiser's job? The words 'p155up' and 'brewery' leap nimbly to mind... got it! We'll have a meet at a brewery...
Can you see it; a convoy of TVRs all desperately trying to look in control as they pass the local ...
Actually, getting in early: there's a beer festival in Darlington in September if anyone fancies it: me and me homeboy (ahem) Mark (non-TVR type) is gonna check the gaff out.... apparently.

So, back to tomorrow night... :hinthint:

Sorry but tomorrow's no good for me. Going to see T3. There's always a car chase so I'll get my petrolhead fix there. Let's try next week, I'd love a run over the moors.

Run? RUN?? You're on your own there I'm afraid. I might manage a brisk walk, or even a slow jog if I've dropped a tenner, but run? Hmmmm.... Well, there's always this meeting in Yorkshire I suppose...

OK, anyone else for tomorrow?
