Faint Glow

When parking up this morning I noticed that the rear fog warning light was glowing faintly whilst the car was in reverse, I seem to remember that the other warning light might also flash faintly in time with the indicators ( I will check that later) I know earthing is always a problem with Tivs and assume this is part of the problem here, any thoughts as to how I should tackle this or do they 'all do that 'Thanks in advance chaps (S3 by the way )

Clean the contacts on the rear light cluster. probably corroded and need some TLC.

The MkIII Escorts with the same cluster used to suffer exactly the same sort of problems, so the connector gets my vote.

My offside lights work perfectly, as long as I keep a slight tension on the connector! I now have a lenght of insultating tape doing just that and they're fine (including an MoT pass).

Replace the Interior Bulb Holder and Plug they are only £7 Brand New !!!!!!

Thanks for that chaps, on closer checking I find the brake light also affects the interior lamp, out with the emery cloth tonight !
