Changing pads in AP calipers
Discussion
How the hell do you get the retaining rods out that hold the pads in place
I made a perfect sized drift from a stainless steel pin - no chance !!
I tried the usual WD40 on 2 seperate occasions
I had the fronts ones out and put a bit of copper grease on the ends so no problems there now.
BUT the backs are solid all 4 - I cant believe these retaining rods are made of a corodable metal
Any advise

Let it soak over night with WD40 or something, A little cup around the area made of plastercine will allow the pin to soak over night, may help.
failing that get some replacement pins and drill out the end on one side of the seized one by about 10mmm just smaller than the pin dia itself and then tap from the other side... this releases the pressure on one side at least...
New pins would be a good idea in anycase!
