Just bought an XJR-6
Discussion
I got me a 1996 XJR-6
Ice blue metallic the best colour imho
Travelled nearly 200 miles to get it from a fellow JEC member and i'm absolutely bloody chuffed!
Quick impression of acceleration is
wahayyyeee fookin hell slow down
So why a 6 cylinder? easy - reliability and being able to look after it myself, no crazy V8 issues and the 6 cylinder cars don't need many specialist tools.
I plan to fully enjoy it over the weekend and will post some pictures once cleaned and polished next week.
Congratulation

wahayyyeee fookin hell slow downI test drove a new one about when your new baby was being made. Back then the Reading dealer was out at Pangbourne. There was a village a couple of miles down the road on the normal test drive route, and there was a Gestapo camera in the middle of the village. I remember driving through going
look at the speedo, 30, OK
look at the road
look at the speedo, 30, OK
look at the road
look at the speedo, 70, where the f did that come from.
And the acceleration doesn't really start till your doing over 70
Back then I was driving a GT4 as my daily driver, but the XJR was in a different league in terms of how easily it put on speed.
Good choice and good luck
