Boy that was some convoy - I think it was 26 cars in the end. We all set off from The White Hart in Chelmsford. Rear guard cut off the road and we all piled out. I think if it had been anything else but beloved TVRs there would have been a riot for holding up all those cars.

We had several S's, and I followed a very loud VixenS3 - you should have seen the state of the poor guy when he climbed out of his coupe on UK's hottest day ever - 'a trifle moist'.

When we arrived at the Forresters I recognised the setting from what must be several photos in Sprint. There must have been over 50 TVRs turn up - Griffs, Chimeras, Cerbs, Tuscans and a rather pokey wedge pretending to be a 350i. I parked opposite a beautiful T350c in Met. Yellow - v. nice. We were also joined by a Noble and a brace of Marcos.

Pauline the RO made me feel very welcome, and introduced me to other S owners - fantastically well organised, including carvery lunch if required.

I had a really good day, brought my best man, and talked him into (well nearly - I'm working on it) looking for an S2/S3.

So thank you Podie for organising the convoy, made the day special!

Sorry for getting a little over-excited, but it was my first convoy and first meet with more than a couple of cars - roll on next month.

Oops - meant to put this post in general gassing - edited to copy it over - D'Oh!
