There is a visit to Powerstation's rolling road tomorrow saturday 16th august open to all. Powerstation are based in Cheltenham and their state of the art rolling road is 4wd. A max power/torque run will cost you £25. Follow this link to sign up on the list. See you there 9-9.30 tomorrow...

Now don't go scaring the folks, they always tie the cars down and even stand on the back of Caterhams to stop them mowing down the spectators

you don't actually need to tiew the cars unless they're 4WD .. we've run 420bhp plus TVRs at john Nobles with no trouble at all, although being sat on the boot at 150mph road speed full throttle is better than any Alton Towers scary ride

I spoke to a couple of pro's in America after the test, they were shocked the car wasn't tied down during 180mph run, not only a safety issue but if done properly it helps put a load onto the vehicle and give a much better reading. I did get 480lbs of torque at 3200rpm which was nice..

The viper tyres only had about 5" either side of roller at Powerstation, and the car was sliding around under acceleration, it was a bit disconcerting to watch the driver have his head out of the door opening watching the rear tyre would I go then again now I'm better informed under the same circumstances, no
