I was chatting to another Jaguar fan yesterday who was asking if I'd seen pictures of the next XJ. He's just traded his XJR against one having been shown pictures at the dealer.

He described it as being a bit like the Bentley but longer, lower and sleeker.

Saw one a couple of weeks ago at my local dealer but it looks like it's just been re-styled a little and not 'new'.

Tbh they've ripped of BMW and Mercedes well and good with the blatantly copied front end and also the indicators on the mirrors.

ps, don't forget the BMW side vents.

Not sure how you think that looks like a copy of a BM or a MB. The new grill is more Audi than the other Germans. But even there it's not really anything like it, OK they both have a Bigger grill above and a smaller one below, but the Audi tried to pretend it doesn't have bumpers whilst the Jag tries to pretend it does. The BM has a pair of little top grills and a big one lower down and tried to hide the fact that it's got twin head lights (Jag were doing those light whilst BM were still making bubble cars). And I can't see a single BM with those wing vents. Which Ian Calum copied off AM, where he did them before.
MBs have big top grill and then even wider bottom grills. And only the E as a saloon get's twin headlamps, but they are about as different from Jags as it's possible to get.

But that's a picture of the current XJ with the face lift that happened sometime last year.

I was wondering whether anyone has seen the one dues out next year.

That looks far too contrived. Don't like it at all.

Try auto express. I know they can be abit trigger happy with 'new' cars out in about 15 years time, but you should find some answers on there somewhere!
