Hi All,

looking to get my front bumper resprayed as it is a little worse for wear due to stone chips etc. What type of price can I expect to pay for someone to do this?

Depends upon a number of isues from layering the paint and clearcoat through to labour costs. I would take a guess at maybe £300 plus VAT maybe a tad more. Also depends upon your location.

garages tend to recommend having the panels around the bumper 'blown in' I think is the correct term. Otherwise the freshly painted bumper may look different as its all new paint etc.
I think they fade the paint into the bumper/side panels etc. I would say more like £800.

You don't blow in panels when doing a front bumper in my opinion.
Full reatil £300-£400
Trade £100

Agree with Paoloh, when painting properly, no need to blend whatsoever.

A proper bodyshop can colour match exactly, blowing in is a lazy mans sport.

It is what BMW told me when I visited their bodyshop. Perhaps they are poor.

No, just taking your pants down a little further.

Hi Guys,

got quoted 320+ vat (Euros) for the bumper but the wheel arches are quite badly chipped also so would really need to get these done also at a cost of 250 per panel. Total cost approx €1000.

May end up getting the bumper done and see from there.
