SR3 front towing eye

Our 2002\3 SR3 does not have a front towing eye fitted. Having looked at Radicals web site I can,t see a towing eye for the crash box we have fitted. The box is the same black square design as the one we had on our clubsport. We have the standard front aero with splitter attached to the bodywork. Can we fit a front towing eye ? Have I got to get one made up ? Thanks.

I would have thought you could fit one, but would you really want your car to be pulled out of the gravel or even on track by it as all that holds it to the chassis is some 2mm alley i could see the result being nose box pulled out of shape and a big hole in the front body when it pulls out of the nose box!!!

What do the race boys do? Is it not mandatory to have a front towing eye? The main reason I would like to fit a towing eye is not for when I fall off the track !! We winch the car on to our flatbed trailer backwards using the rear towing eye but I want to reduce the nose weight of the trailer by loading the car front first.

A tow point is mandatory for racing. If you phone Ben at Radical (Parts) he'll sort you out with one. There is one on the parts web site which I am sure will fit
