Any Z4 drivers help me?

Whilst cleaning the car I've just noticed that I seem to have my engine size inscription only on the passenger side of the car. I could swear that it was on both sides last time I looked, now worried I'm going mad.

If someone has nicked it they've not damaged the car which is surprising.

Quick way to check could be looking at the classifieds here. Just seen one with the engine size inscription on both passenger and drivers side... sorry.

Thanks for that, I didn't think to try the classifieds, I'd tried google images and the BMW site but couldn't find much.

It should have the engine size on both side near the side repeaters.

Well it's either fallen off or someone has stolen it in a very conscientious manner! I dread to think how much BMW will charge for a new one.

I've also seen Z4s with the inscription only on one side so you're not going mad.

What's the problem? Take the other off. They're pretty pointless anyway and deletion is a no cost optionso no damage done.

I might do. What's the best way to take them off without damaging the paint?

I believe the way it is done is by getting a very thin twine, eg fishing line, and pulling it up behind the badge, whilst warming with a hair drier. It gets between the foam adhesive and the body and peels it off; remove any residue with WD40 and polish.

I AM NOT SURE ABOOUT THIS, PLEASE CHECK. A WEB SEARCH MIGHT HELP.
