No W427s coming to UK

Following the news that the W427 has just gone on sale in Oz, I emailed HSV to ask them if any were coming to the UK and in what guise. They have replied that none officially will be coming to the UK. I am a bit disappointed as I was looking to something similar to replace my Vxr Monaro. Does anyone have any news on something similar out of the States apart from the Z06?

.. Also whats wrong with a VXR8? Plenty of mods to get that to whatever power you want including stroker engine replacements, Head/Cam upgrades and even a supercharger or two.
They are now out in 6.2L LS3 form, which is a very good engine with nice heads/intake. Well quite a bit better than the LS2 anyway.
