gents,

has anyone fitted this kit to an m3/ evo

i am a little concerned that the specified drop of 30mm may cause the ride height to be too low. i dont want to run the risk of having to buy different springs and have them fitted after the purchase and fitting of this kit.

cheers.

Too low for what? Mine's dropped about 60mm, now THAT'S too low.

30mm should be fine, even for London speedbumps.

my car is on standard suspension at the moment.

i can handle a 30mm drop at the front but a 30 mm drop at the rear would see the rear tyre inside the arch which may cause problems with scrubbing during driving.

If you're on standard wheels/tyres then you should be fine.

The drop will be fine assuming standard wheels etc.

As for the kit, Koni tend to be very firm. I've not heard of a lot of people using the Koni stuff on the M3. Most usually bite the bullet and go either Eibach or Bilstein (both use similar internals), which never generates any complaints.

ive looked into the eibach coilovers. the anti roll bar link issuse ( the link breaking during hard use) and the requirement of wheel spacers puts me off.
thats how i find myself looking at a conventional spring and damper setup.

p.s i belive its the eibach and kw variant 1 coilovers which use the similar damping unit.
